Sheffield has many churches in and around the city centre where you can get involved. We strongly advise our members to be part of a church while they are in Sheffield, as we read in the Bible that we, as Christians, should be part of a church family. Churches offer teaching, support, and are a great opportunity to get to know other Christians in Sheffield who are not students, helping you to grow further in your Christian faith.

Finding your church is an important part of coming to uni, so we run a Church Search throughout September and into October to help freshers find their church family in Sheffield.

Here is a list of some of the churches in Sheffield which some of our members attend, please explore their websites to find out more! If you have any questions about churches, please get in touch with us or one of the following churches.

New Life

·         What we believe?

·         Where are we based?

We are based at Duchess Road community Centre in Highfield, near Sheffield city centre.

·         When we meet?

At present Church members are meeting in small groups in their homes. Given this, we would not be able to provide support to new Christian student members at this time, but we would love to have the opportunity to welcome them when we are again able to use our regular building for Sunday meetings.

You can get in touch with us via our website.

A Christian Evangelical Church ( Reformed and Anglican)

We are part of a small network of churches called the Anglican Mission in England. We believe that the preaching and teaching of the scriptures is the beating heart of our lives as God's people and is crucial to our mission to the walkley and S6 area of this city.

We meet at our own building at the Memorial hall building on Forbes Road, just up from the Hillsborough Tram stop( Christ Church Walkley, Forbes Road, Sheffield, England, S6 2NW).

We have started gathering physically but are also live streaming our services because numbers are limited. If you would like to join us and check us out as a church, you will need to book on or watch the live stream. All the details about how to do this are on our website. Click here for access to the website.

We want our city to be full of people who are full of life. God has called us to establish a growing, vibrant, biblically-based, regional Vineyard church rooted in Sheffield, which will, in the power of the Holy Spirit, worship God and communicate the gospel of Jesus in creative and relevant ways. We will make, train and equip disciples to be effective in extending God’s kingdom, and we will show generosity and kindness, especially towards the least, the lonely and the lost. We love students. We’re constantly reminded that students are some of the most dedicated, fun, and compassionate followers of Jesus. Our students get involved in various ways from joining in our peaks and pub walks to leading worship, Lifegroups and playing active parts in the running of the church. Alex and Karen (Church Leaders) have been students for far too long and Alex currently lectures part time at University. Our Sunday Services are held in the heart of Endcliffe primarily because we want to be accessible to students. You’re welcome to come along to everything we do. We are part of vineyard churches UK and you can find what we believe here

At the moment we are totally digital but we will be returning to physical gatherings as soon as we can. In the meantime you can find us on Facebook and Instagram, with lots of zoom and some physical outdoor gatherings.

We livestream at 10am every Sunday with prayer on zoom at 11am We have worship every Tuesday at 10am on Facebook We have newcomer welcome zooms every Thursday evening at 7:30, everyone is welcome We are also gathering physically in Endcliffe park every Saturday at 2pm particularly to welcome new people to church.

Our small groups begin on the 12th October but you can already sign up! Go to our website (click here for access). Go on the lifegroup sign up to have a peruse.
