Welcome to Sheffield Hallam Students Union Christian Union!
We are a group of students, passionate about sharing the love and good news of Jesus Christ across our campuses at Sheffield Hallam. Whatever your faith or background, we would love to meet you!
We meet weekly, to hear from the Bible, worship together, and encourage one another in our walk with Christ at university. We also hold lots of social events, and make lots of time to hang out in order to get to know each other and make some amazing friends!

CU has been such an encouragement to me from my first year in university! The people, meetings, activities and so much more has helped me settle right into life away from from and I feel so blessed to be able to have a community like this.

CU has played such a big part in making me welcome at Sheffield Hallam. Before I even moved to the city I had met some CU members, who were friendly faces and happy to meet up with me during my first week! Starting university during Covid has been tough but thanks to CU I’ve felt supported and had a Christian community around me even when we couldn’t meet in person due to lockdowns!
Chloe, Events Management
Entering university in the middle of Covid, CU was a lifeline. Everyone was immediately extremely welcoming and friendly, much needed during the loneliness of a new city. But more importantly, CU helped me to continue strongly in my faith, drawing closer to God and meeting christians from all walks of life.

Thanks to the CU, from day 1 at uni, I was surrounded by really lovely Christian friends who were close by and who I can relate to. My uni experience just wouldn’t be the same without the CU and I’m so glad to have been involved. It’s been a real encouragement for me to have the courage to invite my non-Christian friends to events and see them engaging with the good news of Jesus!

I had such an amazing experience as a first year at Hallam CU, such a warm, welcoming environment. Arriving at uni with hardly any Christian friends it was such an encouragement to meet so many great students and gave me the chance to meet so many new Christians, 3 of which I am now living with as a second year.
