Freshers Week
Are you coming to Hallam for the first time this year?
We're running loads of events for you to help settle you into the city and introduce who we are as a society. From walks around the city to cosy nights in, kick abouts in the park to meals with friends, we are certain there is something you will love!
Alongside our more social events, why not try our evangelistic events? Whether you are a life long Christian or haven't give faith a second thought, all are welcome!

Week 1: 20-26 September
City Tours
Where?: Peace Gardens/Division Street/Endcliffe Park
When?: Tue 21st Sep - 9:30AM, 1:00PM, and 5:00PM
Free student led walks around the city that will show some of the highlights of life in Sheffield. Walks will take about an hour and a half at a gentle pace with an opportunity to grab a drink and some food together at the end.
Picnic & Games in the Park
Where?: Endcliffe Park
When?: Tue 21st Sep - 1:00PM
You may be at uni but lets not pretend you don’t fancy a bring your own picnic with some field games like the good old days! A great opportunity to meet people and enjoy some (hopefully not too competitive) games together.
Cake and Acoustics
Where?: Hideout, the Hubs

Chill out with us at this informal gathering with live music, and a full assortment of delicious cakes and puddings. There will also be a short talk included introducing us as a CU.
Peaks Walk
Where?: Peak District

Sheffield is blessed with it's local national park, the Peak District! Take this opportunity to join us as we explore some of our favourite and most beautiful parts of the peaks followed by drinks at a local pub!

Moving to a new city for the first time can be extremely stressful, but don't worry, we've got you. Join us for a chill hangout with free (hopefully not chilled) hot chocolate, chill board and card games, and some chill people.

Tea, Dinner, Grub! Whatever you call it, all are welcome to come and join a buffet style meal provided by the members of the Christian Union! Feel free to stick around and join us for our main meeting directly afterwards.

Fish and Chip Walk

Meet some new people and explore Sheffield as we gather in groups to go to the chippy and chill in the park.
Grill a Christian

If you've got questions then hopefully we have some answers! Send in your questions on Slido regarding Christianity and our panellists will attempt to answer them at this relaxed event where all are welcome. Event will also be livestreamed.
